Our state of the art production facility sets the pace of the business.

The processes we use ensure that we are working to the highest level of quality.

Our production facility comprises:

– 17 fabrication workstations
– 6 overhead cranes
– 1500mm wide automatic shot-blast
– 1500mm wide CNC plasma drill plate processing machine
– Three spindle CNC drill and saw capable of processing smaller sections up to 630mm wide
– Three spindle CNC drill and saw line capable of processing sections up to 1100mm wide
– 1,000 square metre state of the art paint shop.

All of our processing machines use high-speed carbide drills. In addition to cutting and drilling steel sections, both of our drill and saw lines are able to scribe layout marks for connection plates to increase speed and guarantee the accuracy of fabrication.

Using its milling function, the drill also notches beam sections and cuts service holes again increasing speed and guaranteeing accuracy. The ability to cut service holes so quickly and to such a high quality allows us to value engineer projects for our Clients in replacing cellular beams for stock UB section with just the relevant service holes cut by our in-house machines.

Our fabricator welders are highly skilled and carry out all work to the highest of standard no matter the complexity. This is aided by our rigorous quality control system.

The paint shop is well heated and very well ventilated creating the perfect environment for optimum drying times. We apply epoxy zinc phosphate primer as standard by using IBC’s (Intermediate Bulk Containers) rather than 20 litre cans, maximising on efficiency and reducing hazardous waste.

Production management

In addition to the processes set out by ISO9001 and BSEN1090 factory production control, by utilising StruMIS production management software we are able to track each steel component through the production process.

All quality hold points are recorded using StruMIS for example; dimensional checks, non-destructive testing, changing weld wire and dry film thickness tests in the paint.

On completion of projects, we are able to produce a full traceability and quality assurance report cross-referenced to all necessary test certificates.
