Projects involving structural steelwork and other trades can be 3D modelled to integrate all materials. This allows us to review the entire project and check for any clashes, this means all details can be agreed earlier. Once approved, the project is ready for detailing for fabrication and procurement of other materials.
We focus on efficiency. This is governed largely by design. Tekla Structural Designer allows us to perform value engineering and structural optimisation, tailored to suit client’s needs meeting delivery dates with confidence.
Our expertise in connection design means that we are continuously reviewing details to ensure projects are fabricated at maximum efficiency. When carrying out structural frame design we are able to import the 3D model for steel detailing.
We use the latest version of Tekla structures to detail structural steelwork.
We use the latest version of Tekla structures to detail structural steelwork. As soon as a 3D model is generated in Tekla, general arrangement drawings are sent to our client for approval.
Following approval of the steel frame we are able to add connections and produce fabrication drawings. This is also when NC data is generated for the production team to import to the processing machinery.
Our projects are split up using Tekla to form deliverable and erectable lots.
Lots are numbered sequentially in accordance with the erection sequence which is established by our Contracts Managers. Tekla issues each piece of steel with its own unique mark number which is shown on the erection plans produced for our site teams, enabling installation.
By using Tekla, we are also able to incorporate pre-cast concrete, cladding and other materials into the 3D model. This allows us to check for any clashes and produce a quantity list for each material.
