Project Type
Grain Handling and Storage facility
Steel Tonnage
Works Carried Out
Structural Steelwork, Pre-cast concrete walling, Roller shutter doors, Fibre Cement roofing, Steel wall cladding, Personnel doors

The Grain walling panels are 180mm thick and almost 5 metres in height. Due to the loads being imposed, an in concrete floor tie system between the main columns was introduced.

This multi compartment Grain store has been designed to enable grain deliveries to be weighed prior to being offloaded and sent through a drying system. Once the grain is dried it enters a conveyor handling system in the roof space before being unloaded in to its relevant compartment.

Robinson utilised thier grain storage expertise to assist in the design phase, eliminating any potential problems prior to the construction phase.

The Robinson production facility and professional site teams ensured the project was delivered to programme.

“Robinsons knowledge on grain storage buildings combined with their passion to achieve and beat programme targets, all contributed to the success of our project.”
