The gridline of columns running down the centre of the building created a cantilevered roof over 7 Metres along one elevation.
Within two weeks the building had been erected completely, including installation of roof purlins and placing of metal decking packs by our site team.
Thanks to reliable and accurate steel bending and our high quality fabrication, the structure went together perfectly with zero defects or downtime on site.
The Worksop bus station was designed to be light and airy, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. In addition to 8 departure bays the bus station provides customers with a café, a shop, toilets, changing facilities and a staffed information office.
With Solar(PV)Cells, harvested rainwater for toilet flushing and the fact that the fabricated steel only travelled 35 miles – the carbon footprint of this building is very small indeed.
The design phase of the project was key to its success and by providing the metal decking and secondary steelwork within our package, we were able to ensure there were minimal interface issues between trades.
