We are very excited to announce that the very talented Rob McGann IEng AMIStructE has rejoined Robinson Structures as a Contract Manager. We feel very lucky to have him back and are sure he’ll make an invaluable contribution to our already growing business.

“I was born and educated in Zimbabwe. I started my career at the National Railways of Zimbabwe and then worked for Zeco (Zimbabwe Engineering Company).
I came to the UK 17 years ago and moved to Derbyshire when I joined Severfield-Rowen as a Contracts Manager, for three years. I then worked at Robinsons for eight happy years as a Contracts Manager and managed projects such as Thanet, The Mall in Blackburn (2500Te; £5.9m) and Tesco’s Savile St Sheffield (2400Te; £4.7m).
With the changes at Robinsons, I moved back to Severfield – Watson for two and a half years as the Residential Project Manager on the +£2.3billion Project, 28,000Te £74m, new build of Heathrow’s Terminal 2A.
I then accepted the challenge of working in a new discipline of Engineered Timber at B&K Structures for three years, where I project managed the building of some award winning structures which also included the world’s tallest hybrid structure at that time = The Cube, Wenlock Rd London.”
Rob not only has a wealth of experience and education within the steel and construction industry, he is a family man with a very exciting hobby…
“My hobby is microlighting and I have over 550 hours which included trips to France, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, and Germany with my better half. I have been further blessed with a co-pilot in the form of my 6 year old daughter, who has been happily filling up her own log book for over a year now.
I welcomed the move back to Robinsons to work with the old team again and look forward to meeting the new challenges ahead.”
