CE Allen and Son, new 850 tonne Grain Store with 3 meter high level grain fill

We are very proud to say that Paul Allen from Uptown Farm, Sutton purchased a 850 tonne grain store from us and is extremely happy with its quality. Here’s his testimonial about the project, which he sent to us a few weeks ago:

“We started cutting the wheat just over a week ago and now finished thanks to glorious weather. The barn finished just in nick of time but all very pleased with it, so thank you and please pass on our thanks to all your teams – ground workers, building erectors and concrete layers that did such a great job. Thanks again and best wishes.”

We love testimonials from our customers as it shows (most importantly) how we have helped them, and reinforces what an important and great job we have completed.

The project

This 850 tonne grain store measures 6.5 meters (21.3 feet) to the eaves, is 18.3 meters (60 feet) wide and 24.4 meters (80 feet) in length. The store is comprised of 4 bays, each measuring 6.1 meters (20 feet), with a 3 meter high level grain fill. The roof pitch is 15°.

Paul Allen wanted to complete this project as his existing shed was outdated and hindered his harvesting capabilities. This new 850 grain store fulfills all his needs, and even enabled him to keep his old shed for other purposes. Win win!

We also completed the ground works for this project, which included laying a concrete floor inside the building and an external concrete apron to allow vehicle access onto the site.
